Why Am I Losing Hair & How To Reverse The Process

Did you look in the mirror and ask why is this happening to me? Or are you stressed out about not being able to do anything to stop your hair loss? I have encountered the same issue and have researched the causes of non-genetic hair loss factors and methods that you can be able to use to get back to fuller, healthy hair.
I use the term “non-genetic factors” because I can’t control the genes what I was born with, but I can control any outside factors. I may be a bald male when I’m older, but not at 22. With that said, I have identified some of the largest causes of hair loss that can be a result of out daily routine or activities:
1.) Not getting enough nutrients into the body.
The best solution is to eat more nutrient rich foods and the next best alternative is to take a multivitamin. Our hair is a part of our body so it only makes sense that it needs nutrients to be healthy just like our muscles and organs. If this is the cause of hair loss, then keep in mind that this will not be an overnight fix. It will take time for your hair to be healthy again since the hair only grows 1/2 – 1 inch a month so make sure that each day is a nutrient rich day for your body.
2.) Not getting enough sleep.
If you are not getting enough sleep, less then 8 hours for extend periods of time, it is very likely that you will notice your hair to thin or bald. When someone is sleep deprived, the body’s immune and nervous system will not be able to function properly and the hair is very sensitive to drastic changes in your body. The only solution is to get more sleep. While that is easier said than done due to life and work schedules, it has to be done since there is no alternative than getting enough sleep.
3.) Coloring your hair, specifically the scalp.
Not everyone colors their hair, but for the ones that do, color can be a cause of hair thinning. Lets say someones natural hair color is brown but they want to color their hair to a bright blonde. This is accomplished by stripping color from the strand in order to get to blonde, which is turns weakens the hair strand. The opposite is true, if a darker color is added to your hair, it will not weaken the hair strand since it’s adding and not stripping. The real issue comes in when lighter color, specifically bleach or a blondor color, is applied on your scalp. Many salons bleach/blondor because it is the best way to get the hair to blonde.
This is not to say that you can’t or shouldn’t color your hair, but just keep in mind of what you should ask for. If you would like to go blonde, there are many different styles of blonde hair color that doesn’t involve coloring the root of your hair. — While these are only three causes of hair thinning/hair loss, they are, in most cases, the cause of the problem and the solutions provided are what you need to fix them.
